On August 3, 2025, I, along with Pamela and Penny, headed to The Highground Veterans Memorial Park in Neillsville, Wisconsin. The Highground was hosting their annual Vietnam Veterans reunion and we were invited to show Honor In the Air.

As we drove the last couple of miles to the Memorial Park grounds, we passed a string of bicyclists. These intrepid riders were participating in the 41st Annual Heroes Bike Tour, a fundraiser to bolster The Highground's efforts to provide Veterans and their families support and resources to help them heal from the wounds of war.

We were greeted warmly by volunteers when we arrived at the building where we'd be showing Honor In the Air. Theresa Hebert (Museum Coordinator) and Pete Kern (Operations Manager) showed us where to set up and helped cue up the film and check audio levels.

Scott Schultz (Board Member) introduced us, we shared a few remarks, and showed the film to about 130 attendees. All the seats in the main room with the large screen were full so some audience members had to sit in the hall and watch the film on wall mounted TVs, but no one complained.

The Highground Veterans Memorial Park is a beautiful tribute to all of our U.S. Veterans, and if you've never been there, you should go. It's definitely worth the trip.
