Since we completed Honor In the Air, our documentary about Wisconsin-born Vietnam War helicopter pilot Captain Scott Alwin and the 68th AHC, we have had the privilege of sharing the film at more than 50 community events and film festivals in Wisconsin, Los Angeles (CA), Reno (NV), and Charleston (SC). This is in addition to the innumerable presentations we gave to Veterans groups, schools, public libraries, historical societies and others before the film was finished.
We have only a few remaining screenings before we make the link to the film public early this winter. Stay tuned for updates on when the exact date will be.
In the meantime, here's the list of remaining screenings and related events:
October 17 at the Austin Veteran/Military Film Festival in Austin, Texas.
October 18 will be Captain Alwin's induction into the Wisconsin Aviation Hall of Fame at the EAA grounds in Oshkosh, Wisconsin
November 11 (Veterans Day) Honor In the Air will be broadcast on Milwaukee PBS. (Stay tuned for the time)
November 14 there will be a community screening at the War Memorial Center in Milwaukee, Wisconsin. This event is organized by Milwaukee PBS. More details to come.
December will feature the film being made available to the public on Youtube. We've been asked why we didn't go to a steaming service like Netflix. The answer is that we want anyone, anywhere to be able to watch our film anytime - at no cost.
We'll let you know as soon as we have times for the listed screenings, and when we have a date for the public link to go live on Youtube. In the meantime, be brave and be kind. It is up to us to make the world a better place.
